Double Strung Harps

This instrument has pegs at the top with two rows of strings instead of the single rowed folk harps.  This type of harp has two identical “diatonically tuned” (like the white keys on a piano) parallel rows of nylon strings.  There are two full sets of levers on this harp making it much more versatile than it’s cousin, the single strung lever harp.  It is played with the left hand on the left row and the right hand on the right row.  On a smaller harp the double strings enables a harpist to play without obstructing the other hand.
